天皇皇后両陛下、愛媛・大洲で高校水族館と酒蔵復興を視察
天皇、皇后の両陛下が、愛媛県 大洲市で被災者との懇談や高校の水族館の視察を行ったと報じられた。
Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako were reported to have met disaster-affected people and visited a high school aquarium in Ozu, Ehime Prefecture.
愛媛での訪問の目的
両陛下は、第76回 全国植樹祭への出席などのため、愛媛県を訪れたとされる。その日程の中で、2018年の西日本豪雨で被害を受けた 大洲市にも足を運んだ。
The imperial couple is said to have visited Ehime Prefecture to attend the 76th National Tree Planting Festival. As part of the trip, they also went to Ozu, which was damaged in the 2018 western Japan floods.
大洲市では、豪雨のあとに暮らしや仕事を立て直してきた 人々と懇談した。災害から時間が過ぎたあとも、復興の歩みを見守る 訪問になったと見られる。
In Ozu, they spoke with people who have rebuilt their lives and work after the floods. The visit appears to have been one that continued to watch over the area's recovery even years after the disaster.
両陛下は、被災をきっかけに実家の酒蔵を継いだ 養老酒造の山内倫太郎 専務とも話した。天皇は、片付けでいちばん大変だったことを尋ねたと伝えられている。
They also spoke with Rintaro Yamauchi, managing director of Yoro Shuzo, who took over his family brewery after the disaster. The emperor is reported to have asked what had been the hardest part of the cleanup.
高校生が運営する 水族館
懇談に先立って、両陛下は長浜高校の水族館部が運営する「長高水族館」を訪問した。地域の学校が支える 施設として注目されたようだ。
Before meeting residents, the imperial couple visited Choko Aquarium, run by the aquarium club of Nagahama High School. It appears to have drawn attention as a facility supported by a local school.
生徒たちは、カクレクマノミやマダコについての研究を説明したとされる。両陛下は館内の水槽を熱心にのぞき込み、展示を見て回ったという。
The students are said to have explained their research on clownfish and octopus. The imperial couple reportedly looked closely into the tanks and toured the displays with interest.
復興と地域文化
今回の訪問では、災害からの復興だけでなく、大洲の地域文化も映し出されたと見られる。酒蔵の再建と高校生による水族館の活動は、土地の魅力を静かに伝える 場面になったようだ。
This visit seems to have reflected not only disaster recovery but also Ozu's local culture. The rebuilding of a sake brewery and the aquarium activities led by students quietly conveyed the area's appeal.
