マニラで日比防衛相会談
小泉進次郎防衛相は5日、訪問先のマニラでフィリピンのテオドロ国防相と会談した。
Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi met Philippine Defense Secretary Teodoro in Manila on the 5th during his visit.
両氏は、海上自衛隊が保有する中古の護衛艦の輸出に向けて、実務者協議の枠組みをつくることで一致したと報じられている。
The two are reported to have agreed to set up a working-level consultation framework toward exporting used destroyer escorts held by the Maritime Self-Defense Force.
対象はあぶくま型とTC-90
輸出が検討されているのは、高性能の砲と対艦ミサイルシステムを備えた「あぶくま型」護衛艦や、練習機「TC-90」とされる。
The equipment under consideration for export is reportedly the "Abukuma-class" destroyer escort, equipped with high-performance guns and anti-ship missile systems, and the "TC-90" trainer aircraft.
フィリピンのテオドロ国防相は、護衛艦の移転は購入ではなく供与になると語ったと伝えられている。
