2026年5月5日の子供の日に合わせて、東京スカイツリータウンでは約1000匹の鯉のぼりが空を泳ぐ恒例のイベントが開催されました。ソラマチ広場を中心に色とりどりの鯉のぼりが飾られ、多くの家族連れで賑わったと報じられています。
On Children's Day, May 5, 2026, the annual Tokyo Skytree Town event in which approximately 1,000 koinobori (carp streamers) swim across the sky was held. Centered on Soramachi Plaza, multicolored koinobori were put on display, and the area was reported to have bustled with many families.
端午の節句と鯉のぼりの由来
5月5日は古くは端午の節句と呼ばれ、男の子の健やかな成長を願う行事でした。1948年に国民の祝日「子供の日」として制定され、現在は男女を問わずすべての子供の幸せを願う日とされています。
May 5 was long known as Tango no Sekku (the Boys' Festival), an event praying for the healthy growth of boys. In 1948 it was established as the national holiday "Children's Day," and today it is regarded as a day for wishing happiness on all children, regardless of gender.
鯉のぼりは中国の「鯉の滝登り」の伝説に由来するとされ、激しい流れを登り竜になる鯉に子供の立身出世を重ねた象徴と言われています。黒い真鯉は父親、赤い緋鯉は母親、青や緑の小さな鯉は子供たちを表すとされる家族の象徴でもあります。
Koinobori are said to derive from the Chinese legend of the carp climbing the waterfall — a symbol overlaying the image of a carp that climbs a fierce current and becomes a dragon onto wishes for a child's success in life. The black magoi represents the father, the red higoi the mother, and the smaller blue and green carp the children — making koinobori a symbol of the family as well.
ゴールデンウィーク最終日を飾る家族行事
今年の5月5日は、5月2日から6日までの5連休の終盤にあたり、ゴールデンウィークの締めくくりとしても多くの来場者を集めたと見られています。ソラマチ広場では週末を中心に鯉のぼり制作ワークショップや親子向けのイベントも実施されたとされています。
